Matthew 7

You judge me
I judge you
Pharisee, pharisee
What will you do?
Forgiveness forgotten
A white washed tomb

Dark log of judgment
Blinding our sight
All splinters remain
Oh what a plight!
May we see clearly
By merciful light

I’m sorry my neighbor
I don’t really like
Im commanded to love
My hearts filled with spite
Forgiveness forgotten
This just isn’t right!

Who can save me
And my miserable life
From a heart filled with judgment
Such hatred, such strife

Oh, Heart of love
Ever so slight
Grow in this Grinch
Your powerful might!

To love every person
As if they were me
And honor the One
Who hung on a tree

Oh heart of judgment
Oh heart of love
Let me love others
Like Jesus above
