The Ascension

Michael Jones

How can winning come from dying?
How can truth prevail from lying?
That He rose
There’s no denying
The guilty are set free.

He’s in Heaven
No one’s crying
He roars like thunder
His glory shining
To see His face
We all are pining
The prisoners are free.

Oh see His glory
Though it’s blinding
Feel His love
It’s ever binding
In His temple
You’re always finding
The redeemed and me.

Don’t delay
The Lord is hearing
Every word
All praise, all jeering
Heaven’s road
It’s surely clearing
For one and all to flee

Flee to Jesus
Arms embracing
See Him now
You’re finally facing
All the sin
That He’s erasing
You are truly free.
